Life

Things have been wild lately. I am ready for them to calm down. My favorite furry friend, Malibu, hurt his leg and it turned out he ruptured his cruciate ligament in his leg and tore his meniscus (area around the knee). He went in for a surgery called "TPLO" on Friday. It was pretty hard on me because although I have been surrounded by animals all my life and have an amazing love for them, my mom always handled the hard stuff. She had to calm me down several times. Luckily she is really good at "Talking me off the ledge." Anyway, he is getting so much love and was so happy to see me today when I picked him up from the Vet. In 8 weeks he will be good as new.

Dave and I have been active in a non profit organization called Reins From Above (www.reinsfromabove.org). It has been so much fun for us. I have met the most incredible group of people. It is amazing. Today was their Fallabration and it was a terrible day for it. It was rainy and their seems to be a lot of sporting events going on this weekend. I had to leave early to get my dog but I hope that they had a good turnout.

Tomorrow we are going to the NC State Fair. That will be fun for Ava and I will have to be sure to get lots of pics.

Halloween is coming up and Ava keeps changing her mind as to what she wants. I hope she just goes with one of her princess outfits.

I will update this more often. I have been a little behind lately.
